Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Terrence Howard, Spike Lee Attend 2012 BET Honors Jan. 14

Patti LaBelle, who was last seen on Broadway in Fela!, is among the performers at the fifth annual BET Honors, held Jan. 14 at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC.
The evening, hosted by Gabrielle Union, is scheduled to air on BET Feb. 13 at 9 PM. Proceeds from the event benefit Metro TeenAIDS, a community health organization that supports young people in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Also performing at the Honors are Aretha Franklin, Cicely Tyson and Common. Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard and Willow Smith are scheduled for appearances.
Honorees include Maya Angelou, Mariah Carey, Beverly Kearney, Spike Lee, Stevie Wonder, Lynne Harris Taylor, Stephen Hill and the Tuskegee Airmen.
