Jennifer Hailey scored 23 points and Amanda Dowe had 20 to help Charlotte cruise to an 89-53 victory against Furman on Tuesday at the 49ers' Halton Arena.

Hailey, a 6-foot-3 junior, also had 13 rebounds and six blocked shots, and Dowe, a 6-4 junior, had 12 rebounds and three blocks in helping the 49ers (8-6) dominate the smaller Paladins (8-5).

Epiphany Woodson added 12 points and Gabby Tyler had 11 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Furman was led by Sarah Durdaller's 14 points.

Barton 85, Queens 69: Nyeshea Willie scored a season-high 26 to lead Barton (6-4) past Queens (2-8) at the Grady Cole Center in a Conference Carolinas opener. Sarah Myatt had 22 points and 10 rebounds for Queens. Melissa Thomas added 18 points and four steals, and Shonice Pettaway had 11 points.

Lees-McRae 60, Belmont Abbey 56: Icey Patterson scored 18, including a desperation 3-pointer as the shot clock expired, to lead Lees-McRae (5-2, 1-0 Conference Carolinas) at home. Chloe Parker added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Melisa Foures led the Crusaders (4-7, 0-2) with 13 points and 13 rebounds. McKenzie Owen added 11 points and Candace Fox had 10 points and six assists.

Pfeiffer 97, St. Andrews 43: The Falcons (6-4, 1-0) tied a school record with 14 3-pointers in the Conference Carolinas rout at St. Andrews (0-8, 0-1). Brittany Cox had five 3-pointers and 23 points.

Rachel Hewitt led the Knights with 14 points.

No. 6 Tennessee 90, Chattanooga 47: Ariel Massengale scored a season-high 19 points and Tennessee (10-3) cruised at home. Glory Johnson had 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Faith Dupree, who signed with Tennessee but transferred after sitting out her freshman season because of back problems, led Chattanooga (8-4) with 17 points.

No. 14 Louisville 70, Marquette 53: Shoni Schimmel scored 17 and Bria Smith had 14 of her 16 in the second half to lead host Louisville (13-2, 2-0 Big East).

Sarina Simmons scored 17 to lead Marquette (9-6, 0-2).

No. 20 DePaul 59, No. 15 Georgetown 50: Brittany Hrynko scored 17 and Anna Martin had five points in the final two minutes as DePaul (14-2, 2-0 Big East) won at Georgetown.

Sugar Rogers had 28 points, seven rebounds and six steals for Georgetown (12-3, 1-1).
