January 1, 2012 — '16 and Pregnant' will be back for at least two more seasons. The MTV documentary series, which follows the lives of pregnant teenage girls through the ups and downs of becoming a teen mom is reportedly currently filming seasons 4 and 5.

According to TMT, '16 and Pregnant' cameras have been rolling on two new sets of girls, and will be back with new stories in 2012. This is likely good news for MTV as the original 'Teen Mom' stars Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, and Catelynn Lowell may be done after their next season.

Portwood has revealed that she wants to quit 'Teen Mom,' and the other girls may follow suit, as they've had their lives filmed for nearly four years. However, 'Teen Mom 2' starring Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska, and Kailyn Lowry is still going strong, and currently airing on Tuesday's at 10 pm.

Could this next batch of '16 and Pregnant' girls become MTV's new generation of 'Teen Mom' stars? Only time will tell what will happen to the groundbreaking documentary series.
